Millbar stamps is owned and operated by Dr. Barry Millman, a graduate of Carleton University with a BSc in Physics and of King’s College, University of London, England, with a PhD in biophysics. He is a former professor of Biological Sciences (Brock University 1965-74) and (Bio)Physics (University of Guelph: 1974-95). Millbar stamps was founded in 1995 as a part-time enterprise of Dr.Millman’s following his (early) retirement in 1995.

Dr. Millman is a 3rd generation stamp collector who has been collecting for over 65 years. He has specialized in stamps of the German area since about 1950. As a consequence, Millbar stamps specializes in the German area, but also handles stamps of Canada, Japan and some other Western European countries. For the last few years, Millbar has been attending stamp shows across Canada with Rodney Paige of RWP Stamps under the banner of “MILLBAR & PAIGE”. In March of 2008 we purchased the mail auction and remaining assets of Calgary’s Stamp Shop. We will be continuing that operation under the name of “Niagara Stamp Auctions Inc”. We plan to hold the first mail auction of Niagara Stamp Auctions in the early 2009.
